These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of bob-books.com and the services offered by Bluebonnet Chapter House, a sole proprietorship owned by Timothy Lowe and located at 4206 Oliver Street, Wedgwood, Texas 76133. By using our website or purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. About us

Bluebonnet Chapter House is an independent bookshop and reading-circle studio. Our physical shop, our website, and our subscription and event services are all operated by the same small team.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the website. Purchases and subscriptions require a person legally able to enter into a contract in Texas.

3. Orders and payment

• All prices are shown in United States dollars and exclude applicable sales tax, which is added at checkout.
• An order is only accepted once we confirm it by email. We reserve the right to decline any order.
• Payment is processed by our third-party processor. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide.

4. The Chapter Box subscription

• The Chapter Box ships on the first Friday of each month to subscribers in good standing in the continental United States.
• You may pause or cancel your subscription at any time by email. Cancellations received at least seven days before the next shipment take effect that month; later cancellations take effect the following month.
• Titles are selected at our sole discretion. Refunds are handled per section 6.

5. Shipping

Domestic orders typically ship by USPS Media Mail within three business days and arrive within three to seven business days. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier. If a shipment does not arrive, contact us within thirty days and we will help resolve the issue.

6. Returns and refunds

• Unread, undamaged books may be returned within fourteen days for shop credit or refund of the purchase price. Shipping is not refundable.
• Damaged or defective books are replaced at our expense. Please email photos to manager@bob-books.com.
• Author-evening tickets are refundable up to 48 hours before the event.

7. Reading circles and events

Seats in reading circles and author evenings are limited. We reserve the right to reschedule an event or substitute a moderator with reasonable notice. If we cancel outright, you receive a full refund or shop credit at your choice.

8. Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to attempt to disrupt the website, scrape it at unreasonable rates, submit false personal information, or use the site for unlawful purposes.

9. Intellectual property

All text, imagery and design on bob-books.com are the property of Bluebonnet Chapter House or used with permission. You may share short excerpts for personal, non-commercial use with attribution and a link back to this site. Any other use requires written permission.

10. Disclaimers

The website is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Book descriptions reflect our staff's honest opinions and are not guarantees of any particular reading experience.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Bluebonnet Chapter House will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the website or our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
